New Directions For Veterans
New Directions for Veterans is a 501c3 non-profit organization for homeless veterans supported by Monarch Athletic Club and Monarch Art and Wellness Foundation. NDVets offers transitional housing and comprehensive support services to veterans living on the streets. Located at Buidling 116 of the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Campus, residents of transitional housing are offered support such as case management, mental health counseling, neurofeedback, workforce development, housing placement support, and wellness services. Aside from our clinical program, NDVets also offers a Low Demand housing program, which was created for veterans who have been resistant to traditional models of “clinical interventions” as a way to ensure they are in a safe environment and can seek services at their own pace. At MAWF we are currently developing a pilot program for homeless veterans of New Directions. This program will follow these veterans on their journey of regaining their health and freedom.
